Alo, alo, sunt iarasi eu, Phillip

Since I have a babysitting job this summer, I have some extra spending money each week. Somewhere along the road, the opportunity to buy a domain came along, and I took it. I was torn on whether to use Blogger or the ever-familiar WordPress. To briefly explain what was going through my head: when you sign up for a blog on Blogger, you can choose to buy a custom domain, and, for $10, Blogger will purchase and host your blog. The other road was buying my own hosting, which would have cost me, at minimum, $24 per year, and I would have had to pay for the domain on top of that. Taking the better deal, I created Philflipsnor on Blogger.

Now that you've got a feel for the origins of Philflipsnor, I'll go down the traditional route of writing introductory posts and introduce myself. My name is Phillip Shifflet, but you may call me Phil. Some other nicknames that I have acquired over the years are Masta P, Philflipsnor, and Henry Tippe. I am a 16 year-old (my birthday is July 24 if you feel inclined to send me large, expensive presents), Heroes-obsessed, theological being, who is not particularly good at making first impressions. I tend to be very introverted and very impulsive, and I love to debate theology and philosophy whenever the chance arises. I have written one novel to date, and am drafting the second one, which will be written in November 2008. I live in a small, AC-depressed home with my parents, three younger sisters, and two cats in Orange County, California. My loyalties lie with America's Republican Party and the Roman Catholic Church. In ten years, I see myself studying in the seminary, as I am pursuing the priesthood.

Well, that's the gist of me anyway. Stick around, as I'll be posting blog entries two to three times a week. On your way out, why don't you stop by my other blogs, The Writers' Blag and The Heroes Blag?
